Laverne and Shirley was a spin-off from the sitcom Happy Days. Happy Days became a popular sitcom during 1970s and 1980s that was set during the 1950s and 1960s. During its run there were several characters that became appeared on the show and later became key characters in spin-offs. Some of the Spinoffs became more popular than others. Laverne and Shirley was one the more successful spin-offs and became successful in its own right.
Laverne De Fazio(Penny Marshall) and Shirley Feeney(Cindy Williams) were roommates in Milwake apartments. Later they moved to Burbank, California. Episodes of Laverne and Shirley now appear in syndication on many different stations. Several seasons of the seasons are now available on DVD.
