Boxed DVD SetsI Dream of Jeannie was an American television show that ran during the 1960s. The story revolved around a genie named Jeannie and her master, Tony. Tony was an astronaut that became Jeannie’s master after discovering the bottle in which she lived. Tony and his co-astronaut best friend, Roger Healey, were the only mortals that knew that Jeannie was an actual genie. The series is considered groundbreaking in some aspects. It was one of the first instances where a woman lived with a man on TV without being wed to him. However, during the early episodes, Jeannie slept inside her bottle most of the time. Later in the series, Tony and Jeannie eventually married. I Dream of Jeannie was a comedy series. The laughter generally involved Jeannie getting herself out of some predicament by using her magical powers. |
